The soprano Jasmine Gonnella, originally from Nancy, won two first prizes in the Golden Keys competition, in the Opera and Operetta categories.
This international music competition, organized by the Ile-de-France association for musical expression, took place in Paris on May 14th.
The jury was made up of pianist Gérard Ghanassia, opera singer Guillaume Dussau and soprano Caroline Dumas.
Jasmine performed two arias in the opera category: “Fiordiligi” by WA Mozart and “Théâtre du vide” by K. Beffa. For the operetta, she had chosen “J’ai deux amants” by A. Messager and “Meine lippen si kussen so heiss” by F. Lehar.
A former student of Nancy’s Michèle Colmez, Jasmine Gonnella now attends the regional conservatory in Paris where she takes lessons with Marie-Pascale Leroy.
