In an unexpected turn of events, Mark Zuckerberg himself has spoken with WABetaInfo, famous for his constant leaks on everything new related to WhatsApp, and has confirmed something that we have been waiting for a long time: multi-device support is coming very soon.
This means that finally we can use WhatsApp on more than one device at the same time (four to be exact), and without the need for the primary to be turned on and connected to the Internet. In addition to this, the CEO of Facebook has confirmed other interesting news that will come soon to the messaging application.
App for iPad, chats that disappear, and photos and videos that can only be seen once
Zuckerberg confirmed something that they had already advanced in WABetaInfo recently, messages that disappear by default, a new function for automatically enable messages to self-destruct in all new chats.
Basically, with this mode, all the chats in which you participate will have the auto-destruction of messages active. Even those you are invited to, to ensure that all conversations you participate in are fleeting, no need to configure temporary messages for each chat.
In addition to this, he confirmed the “See once” function that will arrive soon so that the person who receives an image or video that you send can only see them once, in true Snapchat style. Both features are coming soon to the beta version of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp multi-device support will start arriving in public beta in about two months

But without a doubt, the most interesting thing is the multi-device support. Zuckerberg has said it was “a huge technical challenge” to get all messages and content in sync, and end-to-end encryption preserved at all times.

And, thanks precisely to the multi-device support, WhatsApp will finally have a dedicated application for the iPad. Although we do not have a tentative date for the latter, they have only said that they will consider opening the beta of the application for more iOS users soon.
