The NFT phenomenon

An NFT that can be translated as non-fungible token in French may seem like a complex thing but in fact it is quite simple. It is actually a certificate, like a stamp to digitally designate ownership of a single object. This element is virtual and can be modeled in different forms: music, an image or a video game character. The NFT lists all the information about the object : its author, how much he sold it, and to whom.

This is a single property, so only its owner can decipher it or modify it, because this file uses a secret and very secure language. To obtain NFTs, everything is done via cryptocurrency. It’s a brand new business that opened to the general public a little over a year ago.

Soon on Instagram

During the SXSW festival in Texas, Mark Zuckerberg took part in a videoconference. He addressed several topics, including NFTs. The founder of Facebook quickly announced that NFTs could soon arrive on Instagram, an application that is part of the Meta group. He was rather stingy with details, but counted on an arrival of this novelty for the next few months.

The idea of introducing NFTs to the Instagram platform is not entirely new. Last December, Adam Mosserithe director of Instagram, had been questioned on this subject and had already said in a story that he was in favor of this novelty: I think it’s interesting ground that we can play on and also hopefully help creators “, he had thus declared.
