In relation to Sookmyung Women’s University’s master’s thesis by Kim Kun-hee, who was accused of plagiarism, some alumni professors in the university came up with verification results that 48% were plagiarism, no matter how much they looked at it.
As the conclusion of Sookmyung Women’s University continued to be delayed, the professors directly investigated and disclosed the results, but it seems inevitable that the university’s verification process will be affected in the future.

Kim Gun-hee’s master’s thesis at Sookmyung Women’s University Graduate School of Education, which was accused of plagiarism last year.
The university has been conducting the verification process since last February, but the results have not come out for over half a year.
Sookmyung Women’s University alumni professors, who were not able to see them, announced the results of directly verifying Mrs. Kim’s thesis.
Among Ms. Kim’s thesis, the entire text of the original research material is colored in red, and parts that are very similar in content development or core thesis are colored in pink.
In addition, I manually marked how many pages of the article the content was the same as, and whether the footnotes and citations were properly marked.
Then, out of a total of 40 pages from the introduction to the conclusion, only three were uncolored.
At least 48.1% of the plagiarism figures disclosed by professors.
It was found that up to 54.9% of existing papers and content similar to those of the previous papers were counted.
Four papers that Mrs. Kim did not include in the list of references and used without citations were also revealed.
In a written interview with MBC, a professor who participated in the investigation said, “I found the plagiarism parts by hand-checking one-to-one.
The Democratic Alumni Association, made up of Sookmyung Women’s University graduates, notified the university of the investigation in an official letter and published it on the internal bulletin board for other professors and students to see.

“We are trying to make sure that the school’s research, investigation, and screening processes are conducted in a transparent and fair manner.”
Sookmyung Women’s University said it would review the results of the investigation, but repeated its previous position that the verification process was being carried out fairly.
