Sony’s New Portable Gaming Device “PlayStation Portal” Allows Remote PlayStation 5 Gaming

Sony is close to launching the new portable gaming device, “PlayStation Portal”, which allows playing PlayStation 5 games remotely.

Follow-up – Yemeni news:

Sony designed the PlayStation Portal in the form of a Dual Sense console with a screen in the middle and control buttons on both sides.

The new portable gaming device can be connected to the PlayStation 5 wirelessly via Wi-Fi technology, and through the “remote play” feature, the games installed on it can be played.

The PlayStation Portal device requires a Wi-Fi connection with a speed of at least 5 megabytes per second, and Sony suggests a connection speed of 15 megabytes per second for the best gaming experience on the device.

Sony indicated that owners of the mobile device can only play games installed on the PlayStation 5, as the device does not support playing cloud games, nor can it be used to play without a Wi-Fi connection.

The PlayStation Portal carries an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The control buttons on both sides of the screen resemble a Dual Sense controller, with support for its distinctive technologies such as tactile response and adaptive stimulation effects.

The device contains external headphones, and a 3.5 mm port for connecting wired headphones, and the device does not support Bluetooth technology, and it is replaced by “PlayStation Link” technology, which is Sony’s new wireless connection standard to reduce delay time and maintain sound quality when connected wirelessly to PlayStation devices.
