telná. Ale i tak je obrazová kvalita tohoto televizoru fantastická.In previous TV reviews, we focused on interesting cheaper models – the U8K from Hisense and the C845 from TCL – and we quite liked them. And now we have a TV that, for its price, you could buy both of the mentioned devices and still have enough left for an excellent soundbar and an annual subscription to several streaming services. On the table, we have the Sony XR-65A95L TV for a hundred thousand crowns.
The question hanging in the air is clear: does a TV for several times the price of its cheaper, yet quality competitors make any sense? The answer is simple for someone who has been eyeing those cheaper models for many months: no, a TV for three times the price is not a sensible choice for you. But what if the price of around a hundred thousand crowns is not a dramatic expense? We are looking for an answer to that in the following paragraphs.
Let’s start with the most important.
Obraz je fanstastick (The picture is fantastic)
The TV is equipped with the second-generation QD-OLED panel from Samsung Display and the latest generation of the Cognitive Processor XR signal processor from Sony. It analyzes each frame of the image with respect to its natural perception by the human eye and adapts the processing of its individual parts accordingly. What may sound like a good marketing story is, however, a moot point – the result presented on the screen is fantastic.
The first thing that caught our attention is the plasticity of the image: objects have volume, space, depth, and the image looks absolutely natural. Of course, it’s not 3D, but it feels like it. This is one of the feelings that you won’t find on easily affordable screens. The motion response is very much above standard, especially in terms of its smoothness and, most importantly, in the essence of the displayed content.
