Sony Xperia 10 V Receives Android 14 Update: Features and Rollout Schedule

This topic was written by Sultan Al-Qahtani – Sony has begun updating the Xperia 10 V (which has a current price of $349.99 on Amazon) to the Android 14 system, and the phone is considered a mid-range alternative to the Xperia 1 V and Xperia 5 V.

To be clear, the company published an equivalent update for the latest Xperia 1 V this week, which is distributed as 67.1.A.2.112. In contrast, the Xperia 5 V remains running Android 13 for now, even in Sony’s home market.

According to the likes of Xpericheck, Android 14 has arrived on the Xperia 10 V with version 68.1.A.2.93. However, Sony has only released the update to the “XQ-DC54” at press time, which is the version sold in the EU and UK.

Other versions like the XQ-DC44 and XQ-DC72 should start receiving 67.1.A.2.112 in the coming weeks.

Sony explains in a blog post that the Android 14 update adds many improvements to the Xperia 10 V.

For example, the Xperia 10 V will be compatible with Find My Device once it’s updated to Android 14 and can share and receive files with Windows devices using Nearby Sharing.

Furthermore, Sony has expanded the options for customizing lock screen shortcuts over the ones that already shipped in Android 13.
