At the end of February, from February 27 to March 2 to be precise, this year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) takes place. There have previously been leaks that Sonya will be launching its new flagship Xperia 1 V, or Xperia 1 mark 5, at that event, and now leaker Onleaks has published images purportedly showing the upcoming handset.
Physically speaking, the new model should have great similarities with predecessors, but among the specifications there is speculation of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 16 gigabytes of working memory together with a battery of 5000 mAh. The screen will be a flat screen of 6.5 inches and on the back three cameras – a primary camera of 12MP, a 48MP camera with super wide angle and a 12MP camera with telephoto. The front camera is said to be 12MP.
The physical dimensions are said to be 161 x 69.3 x 8.5 millimeters. If the images are correct, it will also have a 3.5 headphone jack, fingerprint scanner in the power button, as well as a physical shutter button for the camera.
The Sony Xperia 1 V is expected to launch sometime this summer.
