Through a promotional video, Sony announced that on May 11 its next Xperia terminal arrives.
And, as is the tradition of the Japanese brand, the Xperia 1 IV comes equipped with advanced specifications, as well as a premium price that will only be accessible to some users.
Sony Xperia 1 IV: release date and expected price
Sony has just published a promotional video on its YouTube channel announcing its event scheduled for the 11th of May, which shows all the top Xperia 1 models available so far and refers to the next Xperia.
Although the Japanese brand has not confirmed it, everything indicates that the event will reveal the emblematic Xperia 1 IV that will then arrive on that date. As for its availability, information is not being advanced about which markets will now receive Sony’s premium model.
And speaking of premium, just like its predecessors, the Xperia 1 IV should also arrive with a top price to match its advanced specifications.
The latest rumors indicate that the variant with 256 GB of storage will cost around 1,325 euros while the version with 512 GB will cost approximately 1,470 euros.
Expected Specs on Sony Xperia 1 IV
The price is high, but Sony justifies it by including specs typical of the premium segment. For now there are few known specifications, but everything points to the fact that we are facing a top terminal.
According to the latest rumors, the Sony flagship comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal storage capacity.
It is also expected to be powered by a robust 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 45 watts, and for the high cost it has, Sony could have provided something faster.
For the rest, the Xperia 1 IV is expected to have the same 6.5-inch screen with 4K HDR resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate as its predecessor model and that the camera setup will be updated and dazzle as much as the Xperia 1 III dazzled when it was introduced.
