Sony is holding a PlayStation 5 showcase on Wednesday, September 16. During this livestream, the company provides information about upcoming games for its next-gen platform. Presumably, the company will also announce the prices and release dates of its PS5 consoles.

Sony announces that the showcase will be held on Wednesday evening at 10 p.m. Dutch time. The presentation will last approximately 40 minutes. “Before the PlayStation 5 comes out, we want to show one more time the PS5 games that will be released on release and after,” the company writes. The showcase will feature titles from Sony’s Worldwide Studios and partner developers.

The company does not list any specific games on display. It is already known that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on or around the release of the PS5 consoles. Other games, such as the Demon’s Souls remake and Horizon: Forbidden West, have no concrete release dates yet, although the latter is planned for 2021.

While Sony doesn’t specifically report that the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition pricing and release dates will be announced on Wednesday, it’s plausible. Earlier this week, competitor Microsoft announced the prices and release dates of its next-gen Xbox Series X in Series S after these were made a few days earlier drained. These consoles will be released on November 10th and will cost 500 and 300 euros respectively.
