Sony unveils a monitor that shows 3D images without using 3D glasses

Sony has presented an unusual holographic monitor that can work with 3D graphics without the use of glasses and other equipment.

In order to see 3D without glasses, a layer of microscopic lenses is used on top of the screen. Thanks to this, light is refracted differently for each eye, which gives the effect of volume.

The monitor also has a built-in camera that monitors the user’s head position and the direction of the user’s gaze to adjust the layout in the best way. This is why only one person can use the Sony Spatial Reality Display.

The diagonal of the monitor is 15.6 inches, the total resolution is 4K. The display is tilted at an angle of 45 degrees and objects seem to “float” out of it. I can’t wait to try it!

But the pleasure is not cheap: the monitor will go on sale in November and will cost $ 5,000 (about 391,000 rubles). Also keep in mind that it requires a PC with a minimum of GeForce RTX 2070 Super and Intel Core i7.
