Sony sent shipping containers to the US with mysterious development kits that could be devkits PlayStation 5 Pro.
Earlier this week, a reputable insider Tom Henderson said that Sony is working on PS5 Pro and is about to release a more powerful current generation console at the end of 2024. The company’s latest transportation report may indirectly confirm these plans.
According to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s shipping documentation, in early February YOU Japan sent a large cargo to its branch YOU America in San Mateo, California, which consists of 240 cartons weighing 2609 kg and is described as “interactive entertainment software development kits”. This is the third batch of devkits delivered by Sony to the American tech division since last August.

- December 30, 2022 Sony sent 519 cartons weighing 4927 kg to San Mateo.
- February 8, 2023 Sony sent 240 cartons weighing 2609 kg to San Mateo.
Despite active rumors about the development PS5 Prodevkits can also be related to the usual PlayStation 5which continues to be in huge demand around the world and thus increases the number of developers who want to create games for this platform and need the equipment to do so.
It is also possible that the boxes may contain test versions of the new model. PS5 with detachable disc drive – one of these previously allegedly already fell into the hands of certain users and excels at work. Its sales are rumored to start in September of this year.
