Sony sells fewer Playstations than expected

8.2 million copies of the PS5 were sold in the last three months of 2023, about a million fewer than expected.

In the full financial year, which runs until the end of March, Sony now expects to sell 21 million units of the PS5, while it previously expected 25 million. The PS5 was launched at the end of 2020, but Sony initially struggled with production faltering due to parts shortages.
