Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Sony boasts that it has sold 40 million PS5 consoles. At the same time, Sony also ensures that the supply of PS5 is currently able to meet customer demand.
Previously, it was reported that the PS5 was rare because the production chain was hampered.
Much like the Xbox Series X|S, the PS5 has had a lot of availability issues since its launch. Units are limited and oftentimes, customers have to queue up for a chance to purchase one.
Now, those times are over. Sony continues to work on supply chain issues to make PS5 available.
The sale of 40 million units is a huge milestone for the company, but that’s not all the company has announced.
Collect Android Headlinesbesides the number of PS5 consoles sold, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan also shared several metrics around games.
Ryan said there are currently more than 2,500 PS5 games available. Several popular games have just been released in the last few months.
These include Diablo IV, Final Fantasy XVI, Street Fighter 6. One of these games, Final Fantasy XVI, is one of the top PS5 games.
As part of the infographics shared in the announcement, Sony lists some of the best-selling PS5 games.
These are all voted on by the community, and that includes titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Bugsnax, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, Demon’s Souls, Gran Turismo 7, Stray, Sifu and many more.
