Sony says the PlayStation 5 supply shortage is over

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Sony said that the PlayStation 5 supply shortage is over, so it will be easier for people to get the gaming device from now on.

“Anyone who wants a PS5 will find it easier to find it at global retailers, starting now,” Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President Jim Ryan said at the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, broadcast by Gizmochina, on Friday ( 6/1).

Since launching in 2020, the PlayStation 5 has been pretty hard to find for customers looking to buy it.

Many factors play a role in this lack of availability, ranging from supply chain issues and shortages chipto brokers who buy available shares and resell them with marking the big one.

However, Sony believes this has ended as the PlayStation 5 supply has started to level off at global retailers.

On that occasion, the company also announced that it has sold around 30 million units of the PlayStation 5 console.

Ryan praised PlayStation users for their patience, saying the company has handled huge demand amid global challenges over the past couple of years.
