APPARENTLY bunch PlayStation sand CEO of Sony Interactive Jim Ryan said, the free games event Play at Home could very likely reappear.
However, this could be a bad sign for people around the world. Because the free game event can happen, only if Covid-19 continues in the future, as quoted from Game Rant, Tuesday (12/10/2021).
Play at Home PlayStation itself is an initiative given to gamers during the Covid-19 pandemic. This allows fans to download free PlayStation games and helps small developers continue to make games despite the economic hardships caused by the pandemic.
Ryan explained that Sony Interactive Entertainment started an initiative to entertain people during the first wave of lockdowns in 2020.
The company then brought it back during a spike in COVID-19 cases last winter.
When asked about the future of Play at Home, Ryan said PlayStation will continue to bring it back for as long as needed. That means free games will most likely only return if COVID-19 gets worse again.
