Sony has released a new update for the PlayStation 5, which adds many new features and capabilities, including:
3D Audio on HDMI devices:
Users can now enjoy 3D audio powered by Tempest 3D AudioTech on HDMI devices that support Dolby Atmos. This means that gamers can enjoy more realistic and immersive audio in games that support this feature.
Ability to silence PS5 beeps:
Users now have the option to silence or adjust the volume of the PS5’s beep when it is turned on, off, or when put into sleep mode. This could be useful for users who prefer their PS5 to operate without any noise.
New ways to communicate:
The update provides new ways to communicate with other players and customize users’ multiplayer sessions. For example, users can now use a second DualSense controller to help them in the game.
Support for larger M.2 SSDs:
The update adds support for larger capacity M.2 SSDs, with capacities up to 8TB, meaning gamers can now store more games, videos and apps on their PS5.
New voice commands:
The update also introduces new voice commands in the US and UK, for example, users can now say “Hey PlayStation Help” to instantly access help pages or “Hey PlayStation, what’s new?” ” to learn about the latest features and the current range of PS Plus offers.
According to what was reported on the “Raqmi” platform, the new update is now available to PlayStation 5 users around the world.
