Sony Releases New Operating System Update for PlayStation 5 with Improved Music App and VR2 Privacy Settings

Sony has released a new operating system update PlayStation 5. This time there are no major changes, but only minor changes and improvements to the system.

Firmware version 23.02-08.20.00 makes it easier to use the Music app in the control center. Sony has prepared a two-column layout, thanks to which everything is much clearer and the user can easily navigate through various categories, playlists and songs.

“You can prevent unwanted broadcasts of your surroundings when you broadcast gameplay through PlayStation VR2,” reports the Japanese company. “In Settings > Accessories > PlayStation VR2, turn on Block see-through on TV to prevent the see-through camera image from being seen on your TV when you’re using the PS VR2.”

Messages and controls on some screens have also been improved. Sony didn’t specify that.
