Sony Indonesia has officially launched its newest lens, the lens FE 14mm F1.8 GM (model SEL14F18GM) which further expands the range of E-mount lenses Sony.
This new lens allows users to capture various moments with new perspectives in high resolution, especially when shooting landscapes, architecture, astrographs, interiors, wide-shot recording, and self-vlogging.
Koji Sekiguchi, Marketing Director PT Sony Indonesia says, “Lens FE 14mm F1.8 GM is here in Indonesia to meet and support the needs of photographers and videographers in producing stunning works with new perspectives in high resolution.”
Lens FE 14mm F1.8 GM features a compact optical design, where this lens comes in at just 83mm x 99.8mm and weighs approx. 460g.
The two XA (extreme aspherical) elements in this lens are able to maintain excellent resolution throughout the image area even at corners, in a compact and lightweight design.
Two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and one Super ED glass element provide optical enhancements that suppress chromatic aberrations and provide excellent contrast and precise rendering across all apertures.
Users can precisely render point sources of light thanks to the maximum aperture of F1.8, making it possible to capture astrophotography or shoot in other low-light environments without resorting to extremely slow shutter speeds.
When shooting in challenging lighting conditions, the original Nano AR Coating II technology Sony maximizes clarity by reducing flare and ghosting.
Lens FE 14mm F1.8 GM can produce bokeh at F1.8, even with the ultra-wide 14mm focal length.
With a minimum focus distance of 0.25m, FE 14mm F1.8 GM offers wider possibilities for shooting stills and close-up videos, as well as creating bokeh.
Additionally, the precise XA element, 9-blade circular aperture mechanism, and optimally managed aberration allow FE 14mm F1.8 GM produces beautiful background bokeh without the unwanted onion-ring effect.
