“Sony Raises Prices for Steam Games in Certain Regions”

ResetEraEagle-eyed users on the Internet have noticed that Sony has increased the prices of some of the games they release for Steam.

Canada is one of the regions where this has happened, where the price has increased from $69.99 to $79.99, and some countries (one of which is Argentina, which may have something to do with its absolutely massive inflation) have seen even bigger increases. So far, Sony hasn’t commented on why they’re doing this, so we don’t know if more countries will be added, or if PlayStation will be affected as well.

Sony was also the first console maker this generation to raise prices on both games (early generation) and hardware (last year). It was eventually followed by Microsoft, and to some extent Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Hopefully this price increase is isolated as many are already battling the economy right now.
