Sony PlayStation 6 (PS6) Leaks: New AMD APU Rumors Surface

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Sony’s game console, PlayStation 6 aka PS6 has been mentioned even though its launch is believed to still be years away.

Sony has not provided any explanation about this next generation PS5 console. However, there are already leaks on the internet about the specifications of this console.

The APU itself is an Accelerated Processing Unit, namely a series of 64-bit microprocessors from AMD that combine a general-oriented central processing unit (CPU) and a 3D integrated graphics processing unit in one die.

AMD APUs, especially the Ryzen series, are said to be able to offer immersive processing performance and good graphics capabilities so that devices equipped with AMD APUs are claimed to be able to run various types of games.

Well, new rumors say that Sony will use the AMD APU in its upcoming game console, namely the PlayStation 6. This is not the first time Sony has used an AMD APU, previously on the PS5, Sony also included AMD.

Reportedly, when designing the PS5, Sony spoke with several specific chip suppliers, including Nvidia.
