Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Sony’s new video game machine, the PlayStation 5 Slim version, was officially released last weekend. The PS5 Slim, which is slimmer than its predecessor, can be purchased in various countries including the United States and Japan.
The price of the PS5 Slim Disc model equipped with a DVD reader drive in the United States market is US$ 499.99 or around Rp. 7.8 million. Unlike the previous version, the DVD slot on the PS5 Slim can be removed.
The PS5 Slim Digital version, which is not equipped with a DVD slot, is sold at US$ 449.99 or around IDR 7 million.

PS5 Slim is already on sale at the official PlayStation store for the US market, namely on the direct.playstation.com page. The official PlayStation website sells the PS5 Slim Disc in two bundles, namely with games Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III or with with games Astro’s Playroom. Both are priced at US$ 499.99.
In Japan, the PS5 Slim Disc is sold on the Amazon Japan website for the equivalent price of 75,500 yen (around Rp. 7.8 million).
Previously, Sony announced that the price of the PS5 Slim Disc was 66,980 yen (around Rp. 6.9 million), while the PS5 Slim Digital Edition was 59,980 yen (around Rp. 6.2 million).
In Indonesia, the PS5 Slim can be found being sold by several online stores. On Tokopedia, for example, the PS5 Slim Disc is sold for IDR 9.5 million. Meanwhile, the price of the PS5 Digital Version is IDR 8.15 million.
KompasTekno monitoring on Monday (11/13/2023), the PS5 Slim Disc and Digital pre-order page has appeared on the Indonesian marketplace. On Tokopedia, for example, the PS5 Slim Disc is sold for IDR 9.4 million, while the PS5 Slim Digital is priced at IDR 8.1 million.
