The same investor report where Sony cited statistics like 41% of PlayStation players are female, Uncharted 4 no PC e God of War: Ragnarok, there are some interesting statistics.
The first is that Returnal is classified as a new successful IP (intellectual property) alongside Ghost of Tsushima. It is worth mentioning that Dreams is also on the slide.
Another data worth noting is that the PS5 will reach “break even” in June, according to Sony. This term means that the cost to sell PS5 will be equaled with the profit from sales in June (the amount of revenue is greater than the fixed and variable costs). After that date, the console should only generate profit.
In addition, the company also briefly mentions that it should launch GaaS (games as a service) for some of its first-party franchises. Not that something is developed by PlayStation Studios, but a company can take and develop something, for example. This is on the same slide as Uncharted 4 no PC.
Finally, we have the updated numbers for PS Plus and PS Now services. According to Sony, there are 47.8 million subscribers, while PS Now is at 3.2 million.
From the PS Now slide, it is possible that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales e Horizon Forbidden West offered in the service at some point.
Regarding PS Plus, 40% of users subscribe to take advantage of online multiplayer. Another 30% subscribe thinking about free games.
