Sony will launch a loyalty program for Playstation users later this year, Playstation Stars.
The program will be free of charge and will allow Playstation users to collect loyalty points through various activities or by shopping through the Playstation Store.
The points can then be redeemed for various rewards, such as money in the PSN wallet or digital collectibles. In an interview with The Washington Post Sony says that the digital collectibles do not use blockchain technology or NFTs.
Sony’s competitors already have Xbox and Nintendo’s own loyalty programs.
