Sony launches an app for Windows 10 that allows you to use your cameras as a webcam

Video calling has become one of the big trends of 2020, but Webcams built into laptops haven’t been up to the task. To promote better image quality, digital camera manufacturers have launched tools to use them as cameras for video calls. Canon first launched its application for Windows 10, and now Sony has followed with Imaging Edge Webcam.

The bad news is that, despite the delay in launching the service in the current context, Sony has also not announced that the application has support for Linux or macOS., despite the fact that Apple’s system is widely used by photographers and video editors who use their cameras.
