Word has spread that Sony will release a new slim model of the PlayStation 5 in the second half of next year.
According to foreign media on the 7th (local time), Sony is developing a new PS5 model that is smaller and lighter than the current version.
The new PS5 model is expected to have a slightly different design, but Sony may not add “subtle” to the new PS5 model name.
The release date of the new PS5 model is expected in the third quarter of 2023 (July-September).
On the other hand, if Sony releases the PS5 Slim next year, it will be the first time in 7 years since the PS4 Slim in 2016. The PS4 Slim offers the same performance as the PS4 while reducing power consumption by up to 165W.
