Sony Indonesia Officially Launches Three G Lenses

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Sony Indonesia officially announced three G lenses for the E-mount lineup, namely the FE 50mm F2.5 G (SEL50F25G model), FE 40mm F2.5 G (SEL40F25G model) and FE 24mm F2.8 G (SEL24F28G model). The new lens is claimed to provide a high level of image quality and bokeh in a light and compact design.

Kazuteru Makiyama, President Director of PT Sony Indonesia said, “Delivering high resolution and stunning bokeh in a compact and sophisticated design, the FE 50mm F2.5 G, FE 40mm F2.5 G and FE 24mm F2.8 G lenses allow users to experience the fun of having a lens that can capture the same scene from different perspectives. ” He said.

Interestingly, these three new lenses provide each focal length for any shooting, so the whole lens is a fantastic combination thanks to its intuitive operation and outstanding frame quality.

In addition, lens swapping is easy, even when using a gimbal, as these three lenses are the same size (68mm x 45mm diameter), the same filter diameter (49mm) and nearly the same weight (FE 50mm F2.5 G 174g, FE 40mm F2.5 G 173g and FE 24mm F2.8 G 162g), as well as internal focus.

Then all three lenses have the same exterior design, but the focal lengths of these lenses are clearly marked for fast switching. FE 50mm F2.5 G is best for portraits of friends / family in everyday life, FE 40mm F2.5 G is suitable for snap photos and videos (everyday photo / movie shooting using a gimbal), FE 24mm F2.8 G is suitable for scenery, travel, and video recording against a large background, such as vlogging.

What is also important that these three lenses are able to provide high resolution and suppress color fringing thanks to the aspherical element and ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element, so that image quality can be achieved with sophisticated optics. The aspherical element of this lens can ensure good resolution performance at every corner of the image, even from the widest aperture with shallow depth of field.

The FE 50mm F2.5 G, FE 40mm F2.5 G and FE 24mm F2.8 G lenses will soon be available in Indonesia in May 2021 at a price of IDR 8,999,000 for each lens.
