Sony has released Android 11 for the Xperia 1 and Xperia 5. Russia was one of the first regions to receive an update

Sony released Android 11 for its flagship Sony Xperia 1 II last month. Now the company has decided to release Android 11 for the flagships of 2019 – Xperia 1 and Xperia 5. Only users from Russia and Southeast Asia can update for now.

The firmware has a build number of 55.2.A.0.630 and weighs about 912 MB. The update brought to the system a redesigned design of some interface elements, new notification settings, one-time permissions in applications (if you want the application to be able to access your camera only once, and not always) and many other innovations. As noted by the GSMArena portal, the system also includes the December security patch.

If you have not yet received a notification about the availability of an update, then you need to go to “Software Update” and download the firmware manually, after which the device will install it automatically.

If you notice an error, select it with the mouse and press CTRL + ENTER.
