Why console manufacturers make unreliable controllers. Japanese company accused of using substandard components in an innovative gamepad
–
Recently it became known that the law firm Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith has filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York against Sony Corporation of America and Sony Interactive Entertainment.
This is due to the fact that a number of DualSense users are faced with the problem of “drifting” sticks. The Japanese company is accused of equipping the DualSense controller for the PS5 with “pretty much the same analog components” used in the DualShock 4. The DualShock 4 also had stick issues.
Owners of Joy-Con controllers for Nintendo Switch have encountered drifting stick problems. Microsoft controllers also have problems, including “elite” gamepads.
