Sony details how the PlayStation Plus collection for the PS5 works

Sony announced more details about how that is PlayStation Plus collection will work new blog post. The service will launch alongside consoles in the United States on November 12, and will offer PS5 owners more than a dozen classic PS4 titles. Titles will be available to PS Plus subscribers at no additional cost, and they will remain accessible for as long as the subscription is active.

The service launch date varies globally depending on when the console itself is available. It will be available on November 12 in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, and on November 19 in Europe, the Middle East, South America, in Asia and South Africa. The collection isn’t available in China, Sony said, and appears to be available only to PS5 customers. It’s unclear whether PS4 owners who don’t own the PS5 will be able to access the games.

Sony has released a new list of titles that will be available as part of the PlayStation Plus collection. This includes some games that are not activated original list from last month; Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogi. Here’s a complete list, which Sony says varies by region:

Sony claims that this PS4 game will benefit from running on the more powerful PS5 hardware and also benefit from faster load times and more consistent frame rates in some cases.

In addition to announcing more details about the PlayStation Plus collection, Sony also announced the games PS Plus customers will receive for free next month. This includes the first free PS5 games, Bugsnax, which will be available from November 3 to January 4. (However, the PS4 version of the game won’t be free.) Meanwhile, the PS4 games that will be available are Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight: Edisi Voidheart, which will be available from November 3 to 30.
