Reports indicate that Sony’s “Xperia 1 VI” and “Xperia VI” launched this year have received positive responses in Japan, with sales exceeding the same period last year. Xperia 1 VI sales increased by 128%, and Xperia 10 VI sales increased by 130%. Mizuno said that the reason for the success is the improved camera capabilities and the screen ratio of Sony, especially the Xperia 1 VI.

Sony will not launch new models of the Xperia 5 series this year, and will only keep the Xperia 5 V that was launched last year on the market. Mizuno pointed out that this decision was made before the launch of Xperia 1 VI in order to change the product range according to consumer demand. Mizuno said that due to the increase in demand for large screen mobile phones, it is necessary to reconsider the market position of the Xperia 5 series.
