After a long vague release, Sony has confirmed that Final Fantasy XVI will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive game for 6 months.
This was revealed in the latest PlayStation 5 promotional video, which features a short 1-2 second cut of Final Fantasy XVI. but at that time “Final Fantasy XVI is aiming to be released in the summer of 2023. Exclusive to PS5 for 6 months.”

It remains to be seen whether Square Enix will release the game for PC after six months, while its predecessor Final Fantasy VII Remake will have to wait eight months after its release – it’s already a PlayStation exclusive, so it’s on PC.
