According to a new retail listing, Sony may be preparing to release two brand new PlayStation 5 console bundles in February.
Sony is reportedly preparing to release two new ones in February 2023 Playstation 5 release a console package. The company has already released several PS 5 console bundles since the launch of the next-generation system in November 2020. In addition to the traditional retail units, these bundles also included popular PS5 games. Thus, gamers could get titles like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarök alongside their consoles.
The God of War: Ragnarök PS5 bundle was probably particularly popular because it really came out at the right time.
While Sony has had success selling bundles of PS5 consoles that include games, the company’s next bundle looks set to focus more on controllers. According to an online retail listing spotted on Twitter by gaming industry analyst MauroNL, Sony could release two new PlayStation 5 console bundles in early February. One will be the PS5 Digital Edition console and the other will be the regular PS5 console that comes with a disc drive. The main factor that sets these new PS5 console bundles apart is that they will reportedly come with two DualSense controllers instead of one, but as of this writing, no official announcement has been made.
A PS5 DualSense controller typically costs $69.99, although there are models that cost more. Since a DualSense controller costs like a new version of the game, it’s nice to have an extra controller in the package. Regardless, pricing information is not yet available on these potential new PS5 console bundles. It’s unclear if players will get a discount or if these packs will be a little more expensive than the regular price.
Assuming the new PS5 bundles are real, more concrete information and finer details will emerge in the coming weeks.
There are plenty of great local co-op and split-screen games on the PS5 that would require an extra controller or two on hand to play properly, so these packs can make things easier for gamers who enjoy playing with friends and family.
