INDOZONE.ID – Sony is reportedly preparing a revised model of its PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console. This is evidenced by the circulation of the product manual for the latest PlayStation 5 Digital Edition model.
Coming with the code name (CFI-1100B), the console is said to come with a weight of 3.6 kilograms, 300 grams smaller than the regular PlayStation 5 Digital Edition with the code name (CFI-1000B).
From a comparison photo uploaded by a user on the forum Resetera said that the PS5 Digital Edition still comes with the same hardware. Therefore, it is not known exactly what components were reduced or replaced to make the console’s weight a little lighter.
Earlier in May, there was a report that Sony registered a new wireless module that will likely be used on the PS5.
In addition, Sony’s CFO, Hiroki Totoki, had also said that his party would look for ways to overcome the global shortage of chip stocks so that the new version of the PS5 Digital Edition with a lighter weight might be one of the results of the plan.
Currently Sony is also trying to sell more PlayStation 5 consoles around the world in order to beat the sales of PlayStation 4. So from that we can see a number of changes in terms of components that will be presented on the PS5 console.
