Sony is bringing two of its newest mirrorless cameras to Indonesia, namely the Alpha 7CR and Alpha 7C II. How much does it cost?
Both the A7C II and A7CR are mirrorless with full frame sensors that have relatively small and light bodies. Sony is targeting photographers and videographers with these two new mirrorless cameras, especially those who need a compact camera.
“Sony completes its line of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras so that content creators with various levels of ability can still produce high-resolution photos and videos using the latest technology,” said Yoshiyuki Fujioka, President Director of PT Sony Indonesia, at the launch event in Jakarta, Friday (13/10 /2023).
The main difference between the two cameras is that the sensor used in the A7C II is a back illuminated CMOS Exmor R with 33MP resolution, which is paired with a Bionz XR image processor. The body is 22% lighter than the A7 IV and the dimensions are 45% smaller. The ISO range is 100-51200, for both photos and videos.
Meanwhile, the A7CR uses a similar sensor but with 61MP resolution. The body compared to the A7R V is 29% lighter and the volume is 53% smaller. The ISO range is 100-32000 for both photos and videos.
The A7CR also has stabilization in the 5-axis camera body which is claimed to be able to withstand vibrations of up to 7 stops. There is also a Pixel Shift Multi Shooting feature which takes several images at once to combine them into a high resolution image.
The camera can also be paired with the GP-X2 grip extension for a more stable grip.
The autofocus system for these two cameras both uses phase detect with AI technology. The difference is in the number of points, namely 759 on the A7C II and 693 points with 79% coverage on the A7CR.

Alpha 7C II will be available in Indonesia in October 2023 at all official Sony partners at a price of IDR 31,999,000 (camera only) and IDR 36,999,000 (with 28-60mm lens) and pre-order purchases start from October 13 to 22 2023.
