Uzone.id – Sony’s newest mirrorless camera duo is officially sold in Indonesia, namely the Sony Alpha 7CR and Alpha 7C II. Both are mirrorless with sensors full frame with a compact form, and has the ability to produce photos and videos in a variety of formats angle well.
“This camera is light and compact. “This camera can increase the opportunity to take pictures, such as daily activities, events or good moments,” explained Hatanaka Takeshi as Head of Product Marketing at Sony Indonesia, at the launch of the Sony Alpha 7CR and Alpha 7C II some time ago.
The Sony Alpha 7CR and Alpha 7C II have different sensors. Sony Alpha 7CR is equipped with sensors full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS 61 MP, sensor identical to the Alpha 7R V DSLR camera.

Sony has succeeded in embedding this sensor into a compact and light camera body. For your information, the Sony Alpha 7CR has a similar size and weight to the Alpha 7C II, which is around 18.2 ounces.
The camera’s ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 32,000 for photos and videos. This camera is equipped with 5-axis image stabilization embedded in the camera body which is claimed to minimize image blur.
“This camera has a 61 MP sensor, with the latest technology. Suitable for para portrait photographers or travel photographers,” terang Takeshi.
What’s interesting about the Sony Alpha 7CR is that this mirrorless camera has the Pixel SHift Multi Shooting feature, allowing users to create high-resolution images. To do this, the sensor will take several images and combine them into one image with a higher resolution.
Meanwhile, the Sony Alpha 7C II is equipped with a sensor full-frame 33 effective MP with an ISO sensitivity range ranging from 100 to 51200 for photos and videos. Like the 7CR, this camera is equipped with the latest BIONZ XR image processor.
“Both are compact and light. Give customize button which is new and already supports the screen touchscreen,” said M. Fariz Adiputra, Digital Imaging Product Marketing, Sony Indonesia.

Fariz said that these two cameras can be paired with the GP-X2 grip extension to shoot comfortably with a stable grip, even when you have to shoot for a long time or use a telephoto lens.
Price and Availability
The Sony Alpha 7C II is priced at IDR 31,999,000 (body only) and Rp. 36,999,000 (with 28-60mm lens). Meanwhile, the Sony Alpha 7CR is sold for IDR 46,999,000 (body only).
Both cameras can be obtained through the schematic pre-order specifically from 13 to 22 October 2023. Sony is presenting a special promotion with Sony Memory Card SF-M64T and NP-FZ100 battery for purchasing Alpha 7C II or Exclusive Peak Design Strap and Sony Memory Card SF-G128T for 7CR.
Meanwhile, the new GP-X2 Extension grip will be available in or around December 2023 at various authorized Sony dealers at a price of IDR 2,499,000.
