Sony launched its newest mirrorless camera product Sony a6700 which is priced at IDR 21.999 million. This camera allows users to take pictures with assistance artificial intelligence (AI).
“We are introducing the Sony A6700, the newest APS-C camera with an AI processor,” said Satoshi Shimada, Marketing Director of PT Sony Indonesia at the launch event in Jakarta, Friday (1/9).
This camera is the latest generation of the a6000 series whose first model was launched in 2014.
This product is equipped with a 26MP APS-C type Exmor R® CMOS sensor or 23.3 x 15.5 mm.
In addition, this camera is also equipped with the BIONZ XR engine which is claimed to increase the overall processing speed by up to 8 times.
To assist the process of taking photos, this camera also has an AI system to carry out subject recognition, AF and tracking.
In terms of video capabilities, this camera supports 4K video capture with frame rates up to 120 fps.
In addition, this camera also has a dynamic range of 14+ stops to capture details in unfriendly or low-light conditions.
There’s also the S-Cinetone™ picture profile found in Sony’s Professional Cinema Line for images that don’t require color grading, and give you the stunning appearance of human skin tones.
This camera is also equipped with 5-axis image stabilization in the body.
Apart from launching the camera, Sony also launched its newest products, namely the wide-angle zoom G Master™ SEL1635GM2 lens and the ECM-M1 Shotgun microphone.
This new lens, which comes as a full-frame 35mm E-mount Alpha™ lens, covers focal lengths from 16mm to 35mm with a maximum aperture of F2.8 over the entire zoom range targeted at producing landscape photos and commercial videos.
Meanwhile, the shotgun microphone is claimed to be the world’s first microphone with eight audio recording modes to choose from.
With 4 microphone capsules and beamforming, as well as advanced digital processing technology, this microphone is said to offer a variety of modes, including stereo.
