Sonos has introduced new wireless speakers from the line of home acoustics – models Era 100 and Era 300, which received support for surround sound. They will be on sale from March 28th. The Sonos Era 100 is priced at £249 and the Sonos Era 300 is £449.
The Sonos Era 100, which is the successor to the Sonos One, features redesigned speakers and new sound-enhancing software. The Sonos Era 300, which replaces the Sonos Play:3 speaker in the company’s lineup, is the brand’s first model to support multi-channel surround sound when used as a home theater rear system. Both new products support connection in a stereo pair, can work as rear speakers in a Sonos home theater configuration, and wall and ceiling installation is also available for the Era 300.
The devices support Amazon Alexa and Sonos Voice voice assistants, both models work with spatial audio in streaming services Apple Music and Amazon Music, and the Sonos Era 300 also supports Dolby Atmos technology.
