Sonos has announced a new premium soundbar, the Sonos Arc Ultra. Expected to be released at the end of November, the price is 149,800 yen. A “Sonos Sub 4” subwoofer is also available as an option for 109,800 yen. Available colors are black and white.

In addition to the built-in Sound Motion woofer, it is also equipped with a waveguide tweeter on both ends. Equipped with 14 drivers designed by Sonos for a 9.1.4 spatial audio experience. When you tune in with Trueplay, now available on both iOS and Android, it automatically adjusts the sound to suit your location.
By combining a Sonos Arc Ultra and a Sonos Sub, and adding a “Sonos Era 300” as a rear speaker, Dolby Atmos surround playback is possible.

The Sonos Arc Ultra has a new center channel structure that clearly reproduces human voices. Conversations are now easier to hear. It also has a speech enhancement feature that lets you choose how clear your voice sounds in the Sonos app.
We worked with veteran film producers and creators, including Chris Jenkins and Onalee Blank, to tune Sonos Arc Ultra for playback of Dolby Atmos content. It is said to provide a studio-like experience similar to professional sound systems.
With its unique rounded sides, matte finish, and slim body, it looks elegant when mounted on a wall, and doesn’t obstruct the view when placed on top of a cabinet .
The cover grill wraps around the back of the speaker, distributing sound from all angles, creating a design that completely surrounds the listener.
Apps have also evolved. Software updated to coincide with the release of the Sonos Arc Ultra and Sonos Sub 4. “It’s better than the previous app in a number of ways, including system identification, new product configuration, and the ability to connect Sonos products.”
Compatible with HDMI eARC connection. It can be operated with a TV remote control, Sonos app, Sonos Voice Control (not available in Japan), or Amazon Alexa. The touch controls are hidden behind the soundbar so that they are not visual.
There’s also a Bluetooth line-in so you can listen to podcasts or organize a playlist before your guests arrive.
