Sonia Gandhi complains of chest infection, admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi

New Delhi. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi last evening after complaining of chest infection. The hospital has said that she was complaining of chest infection for some time and was admitted to the hospital for routine check-up. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is 76 years old and she is an MP from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from attending the meeting of the opposition Alliance India in Mumbai recently, she had come back a few days before her visit to Srinagar.

This is the third time this year, when Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to the hospital. In January, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment of viral fever and chest infection. He was again admitted to the hospital in March due to bronchitis and fever. With her statement in February, Sonia Gandhi had also fueled speculations about retiring from politics. In which he said that he is happy that his innings can end with the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
