Songtradr acquires Musicube | starting base

The Hamburg start-up’s technology is intended to help improve music searches and recommendations.

The US music company Songtradr announces the takeover of the Hamburg start-up Musicube. Musicube specializes in AI metadata for music searches. With the acquisition, Songtradr aims to expand its portfolio with technology-enabled music solutions designed to help find the right music and measurably engage audiences. Both companies would share the vision of an artist-friendly music industry.

“Musicube has approached audio analytics from a completely unique perspective and this acquisition accelerates our mission to increase the value and effectiveness of music in content,” said Paul Wiltshire, CEO of Songtradr. Musicube’s technology, data and team would help to improve the user experience for customers in the future.

“We are incredibly fortunate to join this extraordinary team of music lovers and technologists as every single conversation we had was filled with both warmth and an ambitious agenda,” said David Hoga, CEO and Founder of Musicube. He founded the company together with Agnes Chung in 2019.
