Song festival winner Wurst learned to sing through music from Céline Dion | NOW

Thomas Neuwirth, who won the Eurovision Song Contest as Conchita Wurst, learned to sing by listening to the music of Céline Dion, he tells Friday de Volkskrant.

“Dion taught me: you can roar straight ahead, with all the power you have,” says Neuwirth. “If you sing so loudly, you cannot fake: the sound that you squeeze out of your body is the sound of your body, unique and by definition real. Céline Dion has taught me that singing is something physical.”
