The canton of Valais decides to compensate the musical directors and organists of song and music societies for their loss of salary. As a subsidiary measure to other federal and cantonal aid for COVID-19, song and music companies may benefit from compensation amounting to 80% of salaries (excluding social charges) for the loss of working hours of their director and organist for the period from March 16 to June 30, 2020. The condition is that the compensation is paid by the association and not by the municipality, the parish or a third party. A formal request must be submitted by September 20, 2020 to the Culture Department. The necessary information and forms will be available on his website from September 1, 2020.
