Although Sunday, July 9, will be the closing day of the Song and Dance Festival, those interested will still be able to attend most of the events, for example, the singing of vocal ensembles will take place at Esplanade at 10 am.

The singing of vocal ensembles in the green heart of Riga in the Esplanade and in the streets of Old Riga – this is an adventure in which the sounds of nature, the city and the winding of human voices will merge, joy of life and beauty will pulsate, passionate musicianship and especially close contact with the audience. 35 vocal ensembles will take part in the event.

“Songs’ Day” will be held in Värmanes Garden at 12 noon. Dziesminieki – poetry singers, it is modern folklore, one of the cultural values of Latvia. The singer is the narrator of his story, a personality and at the same time also a simple person from the people. Simplicity alternates with excellence. As the eras change, so does the message of the singers, however, the constant value is the conversation with the listener and conveying your message.

On “Songs Day”, you will have the opportunity to hear a concert program for families with children, get to know young singers, and listen to a big concert of singers. The tradition of the singers’ concert began at the last festival in 2018, when the stage of the Vermanes garden was filled with the music and thoughts of Austrasbärni.

The Monday after the end of the Song and Dance Festival is designated as a holiday.
