Son uses his mother’s credit card to buy shoes and sells shoes, Nike’s general manager of North America steps down to take charge | NBA |

A senior executive of Nike, a world-renowned sneaker brand, immediately announced his resignation after Bloomberg Businessweek reported that his son used his credit card to operate a sneaker resale business.

Ann Hebert previously served as vice president and general manager of Nike’s North American division. She has previously worked at Nike for more than 25 years and announced her resignation on Monday in the United States. According to a Bloomberg Businessweek report, her son Joe Hebert started selling sneakers after taking a leave of absence from college and has his own store. The name West Coast Joe is widely known in the sneaker world. Joe was previously revealed by the media that he started using his mother’s credit card during high school to buy limited edition sneakers worth more than $100,000, and then resell them from his own store.

Joe admitted to the media that Ann Hebert was his mother and knew that his mother worked for Nike, but he emphasized that he never obtained inside information or employee discounts through his mother’s position. A Nike spokesperson also said that in fact, as early as 2018, Ann Hebert reported to the company that his son opened a sports shoe store. Ann Hebert has resigned from the company after the news of Joe buying a large number of limited-edition sneakers.
