– If I wanted to go there, I wouldn’t be sitting here. I love to play soccer. Of course, money is also important, but I want to play in the Premier League, Son said at a press conference.
According to Sky Sports the South Korean confirmed that he had received an offer from a Saudi Arabian club, which he turned down.
– There are many who go there now, which is interesting, but it is still a dream to play in the Premier League. I’m looking forward to this season, said the Tottenham player.
A number of star players have recently allowed themselves to be tempted by astronomical sums of money from the Saudi Arabian league.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the first big profile to make the trip over, before players such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté and Roberto Firmino have also made the switch to Saudi Arabian clubs this summer.
Son made the switch from Bayer Leverkusen to Tottenham in the summer of 2015 and has since scored 145 goals and 80 assists in 372 games for the lily-whites.
