On the 31st of last month, Spain’s Marca released the ranking of the ‘100 best soccer players of 2020’, with Son Heung-min ranked 23rd. In this ranking published annually by Marka, Son Heung-min ranked 81st in 2017 for the first time. After being included in the Top 100 at 91st in 2018, he jumped to 18th in 2019 and entered the top. Last year, it remained at the top of the 20th place and ranked at the top.
Marca explained Son Heung-min as “one of the most underrated strikers in the world,” and “he tends to be a dominant striker in various records and not so much mentioned when referring to top-class players.” Among the players in the ranking, Son Heung-min is the only Asian player.
