In a house on Herderenweg in Grote-Spouwen near Bilzen (Limburg), an investigation will take place on Tuesday into the unusual death of a couple in their sixties. One of the couple’s sons made the bizarre discovery on Tuesday morning. A forensic team has been appointed to investigate the death of the man and the woman, but for now it remains a guess as to a cause.

There was no evidence of malicious intent or elements that could indicate an act of desperation. Members of the technical and scientific police of the federal police are also investigating.
The son had already tried to contact his parents by telephone on Monday evening, but he received no answer. On Tuesday he made another attempt, but it still failed. That is why he went to take a look at the parental home.
Another research avenue is a possible CO intoxication, but that too would be unlikely. The man and the woman were found in different places in the house.
