The son of a 63-year-old man from Guimarães, who has disappeared since January 8, confirmed in a publication in Facebook, that the corpse found today in the Ave river belongs to your father.
The body was found at 11:00 in the parish of Barco, Guimarães.
The Judiciary Police was investigating the corpse on the spot, where the missing man’s son was also located.
The body was removed at the beginning of the afternoon to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Guimarães, for autopsy.
Authorities have not yet officially confirmed the victim’s identity.
A 63-year-old man from Creixomil, Guimarães, has been missing since January 8. He left the house that night, by car, allegedly to visit a client in Caldas das Taipas, and has never been seen since.
The cell phone has since been found, but the car has not yet been found.
The authorities even carried out searches on the Ave River, but without success. The Judiciary Police continues to investigate the case.
