Seriously ill
78-year-old Tapie, a businessman and ex-politician and president of the Olympique Marseille football club, is seriously ill. He is suffering from cancer of the stomach and esophagus.
The businessman was hit on the head with a stick. His wife was also hit hard. According to a source close to the investigation, she managed to wriggle free and alert the neighbor.
Tapie’s son, Laurent, said on TV Monday morning: ‘My father has recovered faster than my mother. She is still in shock, ”said Laurent who showed the photos of his injured parents.
“First they knocked out and tied my father, then they beat my mother and dragged her into all the rooms. She was more shocked than my father by what had happened. ”
The burglars were looking for jewelry and money, but it is not yet clear whether they have stolen anything.
